Thailand has some of the most scenic islands and beaches in the world. These are 10 of the most beautiful and popular to visit.
1. Ko Yao Noi

This is one of the country’s most unspoilt islands. It lies in the warm waters of the Andaman Sea and is an ideal location for cycling, water and beach sports and Muay Thai kickboxing. The beach is a fantastic place to enjoy activities and just relaxing, especially with a local cold drink to refresh you.
2. Kata Beach

Kata Beach is one of the most popular on the island of Phuket. It’s a little more relaxed than Patong Beach. Actually, there are two different beaches here. One is known as Kata Noi and the other is KataYai. You can walk from one to the other in about 10 minutes. Both beaches are ideal spots to enjoy a cold drink, lounge around, and try out a local massage.
3. Railay Bay

Railay Bay sits on a narrow peninsula close to the community of Krabi. There are beaches on the west and east side which are separated by tall, magnificent limestone cliffs. These are attractive to rock climbers and they come from all over the world to conquer them. You can reach the bay by ferry and hang out at one of the beach’s bungalows.
4. Patong Beach

Phuket’s Patong Beach is known across the world for its one-of-a-kind nightlife. The beach is about two miles long and offers everything from sun, sand, and sports to discos, pubs, go go bars and excellent restaurants. It’s a great place to hang out at the beach in the daytime and then head out on the town for dinner and nightcaps.
5. Mosquito Island

Don’t let the name fool you. This island is fantastic. The sunsets here are second to none and the beaches are soft and sandy. Many people come here on day trips from the nearby resorts of Ko Phi Phi Don. The snorkeling is great and it has everything you need to enjoy a romantic time with that special somebody.
6. Koh Lipe

This destination has been called the perfect beach on more than one occasion. It lies on a remote and rugged island that can be reached by water only. There are actually two excellent beaches here, which are Pattaya and Sunrise. The colorful coral reefs belong to the Tarutao National Marine Park. You’ll find about a quarter of all the world’s tropical-beach species here.
7. Maya Bay

This splendid bay is surrounded by beautiful limestone cliffs and was the setting of the popular movie called ‘The Beach.’ It’s a popular spot, in part because of the film, and many travelers visit here on boat tours.
8. Ko Phi Phi Don

This is now one of the best locations for sun seekers in Thailand. It’s a scenic island that actually doesn’t have any roads. Residents and visitors get around by long-tailed boats. It’s quite a cultural melting pot with Buddhists, sea gypsies, and Hindus living here in harmony. Many people take day trips here from Phuket and there are plenty of fabulous beach resorts to enjoy.
9. Phulay Bay

This gorgeous bay sits among limestone karsts and lush, green jungles. It lies in the Andaman Sea and is quite a popular location for people to come and just relax. There are some top-class accommodations to choose from and the local elephant reserve isn’t too far away.
10. Ko Tapu

This island is also referred to as James Bond Beach since the movie called ‘The Man with the Golden Gun’ was filmed here back in 1974. It’s a small island that sits in Phang Nga Bay. However, there aren’t really any beaches on it. Most people visit to kayak around the island.
